New Jersey Restaurants for Outdoor Dining

During the spring and summer months, the weather is ideal for outdoor dining in New Jersey. After a long week cooped up in your office or house, enjoying a nice meal on a deck or patio is a great way to spend a weekend night, and you can see the scenic Delaware river front from certain New Jersey dining venues. Check out one of the following restaurants to experience New Jersey outdoor dining for yourself.

  1. Taproom and Grill

    • Located in Haddon Township, the Taproom serves a variety of food and has a large outdoor deck and patio. Its menu features bar favorites such as wings and burgers, and also includes traditional dinner entrees like salmon and pot roast. The deck can often be found packed on Tuesday evenings in warm weather for the venue's weekly Taco Tuesday, during which all Mexican menu items are offered at a discount. You can enjoy fresh quesadillas, chips and salsa, or tacos for less than you'd spend at a fast food restaurant...take advantage of the great specials on buckets of Mexican beer as well. On weekends, live bands play on the outdoor dining deck, enhancing the lively atmosphere.

    Curtin's Wharf

    • Enjoy the fresh air and gorgeous view of the Delaware River at Curtin's Wharf in Burlington City, New Jersey. This seasonal restaurant and bar is open from the end of May until the beginning of September each year. You'll enjoy your meal on a dock; the venue doesn't even have an indoor area, explaining its seasonal operation. The dining section is broken up into two sections. One area is closer to the bar and serves only a small selection of appetizers. The other, main dining area is large and offers fresh seafood and pastas. On weekends, live bands play a variety of music from jazz to calypso.

    Scatturo's

    • If you're craving Italian on a warm evening, check out Scatturo's in Marlton, New Jersey. During the spring and summer months, the restaurant has an open back patio where you can enjoy dinner and cocktails. Come out early to enjoy the $5 happy hour menu that's served Tuesday through Friday from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. You can munch on full-sized orders of calamari, chicken fingers and more at a price that's easy on your wallet. Scatturo's outdoor area also serves specialty drinks, including a caramel apple martini and a fruity love potion cocktail. Local live bands perform on the patio on weekends.
