Nightclubs in the Chicago Suburbs

Outside of the bustle of Chicagoland proper, those looking for nightlife can find a variety of clubs and lounges to suit all tastes. From the LGBT community to tobacco aficionados, jazz to rock, the suburbs of Chicago offer live music and special events as well as food, alcoholic beverages and discount cocktails.

  1. Milan Hookah Lounge Bar and Grill

    • Part hookah lounge, part restaurant, Milan Hookah Lounge Bar and Grill sits in the suburb town of Schaumburg. In the lounge, guests can sample flavored tobacco from around the world. The lounge has a bar and in-house music, as well as food.

    The Call

    • A nightclub for LGBT in Andersonville, The Call offers a dance floor with pop and retro music. In-house entertainment includes bingo with Miss Foozie, drag shows for charities and dance lessons. Drink specials include cheap cocktails and very cheap shots. The club is open from 4 p.m. to 2 a.m. Sunday through Friday, and 4 p.m. to 3 a.m. on Saturday.

    Gabe's Backstage Lounge

    • Gabe's Backstage Lounge in Highwood offers live music on the weekends and open jams on weeknights. The bar serves $3 wells and $5 Miller pitchers as well as cheeseburgers, pizza and buffalo wings. Gabe's does host private events of up to 300 people complete with food, live music and alcohol. During the summer, Gabe's has a beer garden in the outdoor lounge area.

    Rhythm Room Bar & Bistro

    • Located in Evanston, on the north shore of Chicagoland, the Rhythm Room Bar & Bistro offers oversized leather couches and chairs, views of downtown and live jazz. The Billiards Room features classic movie artwork while the lounge has large televisions showing sporting events. The menu ranges from sandwiches and wraps to deserts designed to accompany cocktails.
