The Judy Istock Butterfly Haven is a butterfly garden located on the second level of a museum in Chicago, Illinois. The museum houses more than butterflies, including exhibits, a café and a gift shop. When planning a visit, inquire about programs for preschoolers, youth, families and adults. According to the museum website, this museum has collaborated with American Girl to offer special American Girl events, including the Girl of the Year Butterfly Tour. As of October 2010, a First Flight Butterfly Release takes place daily at 2 p.m. on the second level of the museum.

This butterfly garden is open year-round. The official website states the only days the museum is not in operation are New Year's Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas Day. As of October 2010, hours of operation are weekdays 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m..
As of October 2010, admission to the Notebaert Museum Butterfly Garden is $9 for adults, $7 for seniors and students and $6 for children ages 3-12. Children under three are free. Group rates are available for parties of 10 or more.
The Judy Istock Butterfly Haven contains more than 1,000 butterflies and 75 exotic species from the southern hemisphere. Guests view butterflies in a 2,700-square-foot greenhouse. Other attractions include exotic birds, ponds, flowers and trees.
