    • Located in midtown across from Park Avenue is the world-famous four-star Waldorf Astoria. As of August 2010, prices for February began at under $300 per night for the deluxe queen room and went up to $650 per night for the luxury one-bedroom suite with a view of Park Avenue. The Waldorf Astoria features a restaurant and bar called Peacock Alley, a wedding salon, a spa boutique and a fitness center. The hotel is famous for its art-deco architecture, as well as the long list of United States presidents, world leaders and dignitaries and celebrities that have stayed there while in New York.

    Sofitel

    • Located in midtown near the Theater District is New York's four-star Sofitel. As of August 2010, rates for February began at just over $300 per night for the classic room and went up to $500 per night for the king bed suite. The hotel features a restaurant called Gaby that serves French-American cuisine; Sofitel also has a full-service bar, lounge and a French gift shop. The Sofitel is near many restaurants, theaters, museums and sites, including Grand Central Station.

    Warwick New York Hotel

    • The Warwick hotel probably began its early fame because of who built it: The famous William Randolph Hearst, the most powerful newspaper tycoon in United States history. As of August 2010, prices for February began at around $270 per night for the classic room and went up to $400 per night for the classic suite. This four-star midtown hotel is located across from New York's Museum of Modern Art and within walking distance of Broadway and Rockefeller Center.

    Trump Soho

    • Of all of the five-star hotels in New York, the Trump Soho is one of the most affordable. As of August 2010, prices for February started at around $400 per night for the king deluxe room and went up to $500 a night for a one-bedroom suite. The Trump Soho is centrally located in New York's lower east side; it is nearby New York University, the Children's Museum of the Arts and the Brooklyn Bridge. The hotel features a spa and health club as well as a full-service lounge.
