The U.S. Virgin Islands are three small islands in the Caribbean where the beaches and the weather draw visitors from around the world. As a prime vacation destination, there are accommodations to fit any vacation style, but if your style is having it all at your fingertips, any of these all-inclusive resorts should do nicely.
Caneel Bay is located on St. John and is situated within the Virgin Islands National Park. In addition to seven beaches, visitors to the 170-acre resort have a variety of amenities at their disposal, including sailboats, kayaks, snorkeling gear, an introductory scuba clinic, use of the fitness center and pool, continental breakfast, afternoon tea and a rum-tasting. While the accommodations are luxurious, the guest rooms and cottages do not have televisions or telephones, in keeping with the resort's desire to remain "free of modern glitz and digital distractions." There are four restaurants, each with a different ambiance, ranging from formal to casual. Inclusive packages include the Full American Plan, which includes all meals, a Modified American plan, with breakfast and dinner, and the Special American Plan, which includes lunch and dinner. The resort also offers a family package, which provides daily activities and supervised dinner and movies for children ages 3 to 12.
