Wanderlust World Wanderlust World Louisiana, known for its music, food, wildlife and culture, is also becoming known as a place to gamble. The state is home to 15 casinos as of March 2010. Three of them are owned and operated by federally recognized Indian tribes: the Cushatta, Chitimacha and Tunica-Biloxi. Coushatta Casino Resort, operated by the Coushatta Tribe of Louisiana, is in the town of Kinder and has more than 100,000 square feet of gaming space. This includes more than 2,800 slot machines, more than 70 table games and poker. Coushatta Casino Resort also has Koasati Pines Golf Course. There are six restaurants to satisfy hunger and thirst, including Big Sky Steakhouse, Seven Clans Buffet and Gumbeaux's Sports and Oyster Bar. Coushatta Casino Resort has four lodging options. Paragon Casino Resort is in Marksville and run by the Tunica-Biloxi Tribe of Louisiana. With more than 60,000 square feet of gaming space, gamblers have the option of poker, off-track betting, table games such as craps and blackjack, and more than 2,000 slot machines. Visitors can satisfy their hunger and thirst at one of eight restaurants and bars, including Marketplace Buffet, Big Daddy E's Cajun Grill and Oyster Bar and the Atrium Bar. Guests can stay in the Paragon Hotel, where some rooms overlook a man-made bayou that has cypress trees and live alligators. On Saturdays, guests can watch a live alligator feeding show.
