Foxborough is located in Southeastern Massachusetts, approximately 30 miles south of the state capital at Boston. The town is known regionally as "the Gem of Norfolk County." Incorporated in 1778, the town has gained prominence in recent years as the home of the three-time National Football League champion New England Patriots. The club's stadium complex and practice facilities are located in the town's northeast corner at Gillette Stadium. The town is also home to nature conservation areas including the Harold B. Clark Town Forest and Kersey Point on the Neponset Reservoir.
