While the stereotype of motorcyclists being "rough riders" has long since passed, many facilities are still devoted to the bike enthusiasts and cater to those who ride. Further, it can be comforting and welcoming to a lone rider on a long journey to stop in for a meal or drink with like-minded riders. Finding biker bars and restaurants is simple; many states have multiple locations that support bikers and even have their own riding clubs. North Carolina offers a selection of venues for hungry, thirsty bikers.
Scooter's Grill and Bar, located in Raleigh, the bar offers food to refuel after a long ride, including ribeye steak, pulled barbecue chicken and fried shrimp. Lighter fare includes sandwiches (buffalo chicken, philly cheese steak, cheese burger, hot dog, chicken salad), salads, wings and appetizers (nachos, cheese fries, onion rings). Save room for something sweet with the pecan pie, brownie and ice cream. Scooters also offers a full bar, with daily specials such as discount margaritas on Mondays, a "blue motorcycle" cocktail on Wednesday and cheap bottled beer every day. Check out the bar's calendar of group rides and live music special events.
