Las Vegas is a city of glitz and glitter that relies heavily on its image to attract tourists and visitors from all over. The Bellagio is one of the more popular hotel and casinos and also one of the nicer ones. In front of this hotel are the Bellagio fountains, which offer impressive shows throughout the day.
These fountains are composed of numerous spouts of water that shoot straight up into the air, surrounded by spouts that shoot at a roughly 65 degree angle into the fountains' middle area.
Fountain shows run throughout the day that incorporate simultaneous lighting and fountain operation. Each show is set to music, and they all often draw a crowd.
The company Wet Design designed the Bellagio fountains. Wet Design specializes in creating unique, multisensory fountains, which can be seen around the world.
Shows begin at 3 p.m. during the week and at noon on weekends and they run until midnight. They run every half hour during the day, and every fifteen minutes after 8 p.m.
The music played varies from show to show and includes quite a bit of variety. Everything from 1960s classics to holiday music and even popular Elvis songs is played.
