What would you drink if where stranded on an island it be conaminated water or salty ocean explain your answer why?

I would choose to drink the contaminated water.

While both contaminated water and salty ocean water can be harmful to drink, contaminated water is generally the safer option. This is because the contaminants in contaminated water are typically microorganisms, such as bacteria and viruses, which can be removed through boiling or filtration. On the other hand, the salt in ocean water cannot be removed through boiling or filtration, and it can be harmful to the body in high concentrations.

Here are some of the reasons why contaminated water is the safer option:

- Microorganisms can be removed through boiling or filtration. Boiling water kills most microorganisms, and filtration can remove even the smallest bacteria and viruses. This makes contaminated water relatively safe to drink, as long as it is properly treated.

- Salt water is harmful to the body in high concentrations. The salt in ocean water can cause dehydration and other health problems if consumed in large amounts. This is because the body cannot process salt water as efficiently as it can process fresh water.

- Contaminated water is often a temporary problem. In many cases, contaminated water is caused by a temporary event, such as a flood or a sewage spill. Once the event has passed, the water will typically become safe to drink again. On the other hand, salt water is always salty, and it is not possible to remove the salt without desalination.

Of course, there are some cases in which it may be necessary to drink salt water. For example, if you are stranded on a desert island and there is no other source of water, you may need to drink salt water in order to survive. However, you should only do this as a last resort, and you should drink as little salt water as possible.
