What matereals is the humber bridge made out of?

Main Cables: High tensile steel wires, each 5 mm diameter, arranged in 169 strands, galvanised. Total cross sectional area of all wires: 137,500 mm².

Suspension Cables: 196 galvanised steel ropes arranged in 37 parallel strands, 5 m diameter.

Anchorages: Massive concrete structures on each bank, each containing about 100,000 m³ of concrete, 24,500 tonnes of specially coated prestressing cables and 1200 tonnes of structural steel.

Decks: Steel box, 28.5 m wide and with depths varying between 3 m at the piers to 2.5 m at the centre. Total area is about 150,000 m². The deck carries eight traffic lanes, two footways and a central reservation.
