Visitors to Ventura can take a cruise to enjoy the Ventura Harbor, as well as nearby Channel Islands National Park. Several companies offer public cruises, such as the 40-minute narrated tour of Ventura Harbor from Ventura Boat Rentals or the Wildlife North Shores Tour from Island Packers. Ventura Boat Rentals and Island Packers also operate public dinner cruises throughout the year.
Cruise companies provide harbor cruises to help celebrate special events. The Scarlett Belle paddlewheeler riverboat can be rented out for weddings and other events, while Ventura Boat Rentals accommodates wedding receptions, anniversary parties and burials at sea.
When the holidays come around, Ventura cruise companies offer special cruises such as the Island Packers Holiday Caroling Cruise or Ventura Boat Rentals' holiday light tours and "California sleigh rides." Island Packers also has a tall ship, "Bill of Rights," that hosts Fourth of July cruises.
