Holland America Cruises offer 7 and 17-day Mediterranean cruises that depart from Barcelona and end in Tunisia. In between, cruisers stop at ports such as Monaco, Italy and Gibraltar. The MS Eurodam, the boat that takes cruisers along the Mediterranean, is a luxury cruise liner replete with casino, café, fitness center and spa. As of August 2010, interior rooms for a 17-day cruise begin at $2,249 per person, not including airfare to the port of embarkation. Shore excursions organized by the cruise ship are optional and cost extra, and include bicycle tours and flamenco lessons, to name a few.
