Wanderlust World Wanderlust World Port Augusta is Australia's uranium production hub. The area has been mined for uranium since the 1950s. There is a large radioactive waste dump situated a few kilometres north of town. There are over 30,000,000 tonnes of radioactive waste stored in the dump, from uranium mining operations in the area.
