When did gateway in cribbs causeway Bristol change its name to Asda?

There is no record of a store named Gateway ever operating in Cribbs Causeway. The main shopping centre was developed in 1998 and has retained its original name up to the present day. Asda does have a supermarket located inside Cribbs Causeway but it has always carried the Asda branding.
