Is the Brooklyn Bridge–City Hall Station in Brooklyn?

No. Despite its name, the Brooklyn Bridge–City Hall station complex (serving the 4, 5, 6, J, Z lines) is located in Lower Manhattan, directly beneath Centre Street and Park Row, adjacent to City Hall Park and the Brooklyn Bridge’s Manhattan anchorage.

It opened January 1, 1905, as part of the original IRT subway. The name reflects the bridge connection, not the borough. The nearest Brooklyn stations are High St (A/C) or York St (F) on the other side of the East River.
