KOA Cabins in Ohio

From the shores of northern Lake Erie to the southern Ohio River, Ohio is an ideal location for a camping vacation. Kampgrounds of America (KOA) operate many privately-owned campgrounds throughout the state. The campgrounds are centrally located to major cities or attractions and feature a variety of recreational opportunities. Ohio KOA campgrounds provide camping cabins for campers who do not have a tent or RV.
  1. Shelby-Mansfield KOA

    • The Shelby-Mansfield KOA is located near the Willard Marsh Wilderness Area in Shelby, just over a half-hour northwest of downtown Mansfield. The campground offers 16 cabins that can accommodate up to 10 people. Although there are 12 different types of cabins to choose from, all cabins include air conditioning, furniture, electricity, a television, deck, campfire ring and picnic table. Most deluxe cabins also include a kitchenette, living room and private bathroom. Pets are only allowed in specified cabins. Campground amenities include a heated outdoor swimming pool and hot tub, miniature golf course, sand volleyball court, pedal-cart track, playgrounds, basketball and tennis courts, horseshoe pits, bathrooms and shower-houses, a camp store, wireless hot-spot and dog-run area. Campers can dine on-site at the KOA Kafé, which serves hot breakfasts, sandwiches, fresh pizza, ice cream and basket dinners. The Shelby-Mansfield KOA is open from May through October.

    Buckeye Lake-Columbus East KOA

    • The Buckeye Lake-Columbus East KOA is located just north of the 3,100-acre Buckeye Lake, about a half-hour east of Columbus. The campground offers 15 cabins and two camp lodges. Cabins include air conditioning, furniture, electricity, a concrete patio, charcoal barbecue grill, campfire ring and picnic table. Camp lodges also feature a fully-equipped kitchen, private bathroom, large deck and cable television with a DVD player. Pets are only allowed in specified cabins. Campground amenities include a heated outdoor swimming pool, jumping pillow, miniature golf course, playground, game room, skate park, basketball and shuffleboard courts, horseshoe pits, bathrooms and shower houses, a camp store, wireless hot-spot and dog-run area. Campers are welcome to use the facilities in the community kitchen or grab a bite to eat from the snack bar. The Buckeye Lake-Columbus East KOA is open from April through October.

    Dayton KOA

    • The Dayton KOA is located in Brookville, less than a half-hour northwest of Dayton. The campground offers 15 cabins and seven camp lodges. Cabins include air conditioning, furniture, electricity, a covered front porch, campfire ring and picnic table. Camp lodges also feature a fully-equipped kitchen, private bathroom, living room and cable televisions. Pets are not allowed in cabins or lodges. Campground amenities include a heated outdoor swimming pool, fishing pond, paddle-boat rentals, a miniature golf course, snack bar, playground, game room, basketball court, horseshoe pits, bathrooms and shower houses, a camp store, laundry facility, wireless hot-spot and dog-run area. Campers also have access to a fully-equipped community kitchen. The Dayton KOA is open from April through November.
