As this is a city that has a large tourist population at any given time, it can sometimes be a challenge to find reasonably priced accommodations. They are there if you take the time to look for them. The Anchorage Motel and the Best Western Colonel Butler both provide rooms for less than $150 per night, as of February 2011. Both are within walking distance of the Shaw Festival. The Anchorage motel is located on the scenic dock area, and the Best Western has a three-diamond award from AAA/CAA.

The hotel and rooms are decorated in Victorian style, and "Travel + Leisure" voted it the best hotel in Ontario in 2009.
Some people like to stay at chain hotels that they have stayed with in the past, because there is a certain amount of familiarity with them. Also, some hotel chains have clubs or reward points that reward people that stay with the company frequently, making many customers repeat visitors. There are several chain hotels in the region, including a Hilton Garden Inn, a Days Inn and a Holiday Inn. The Days Inn features package deals that combine spa treatments or various wine tours depending on the time of year with your stay. From the Hilton Garden Inn, visitors have easy access to attractions like the Butterfly Conservatory or Fallsview Casino.
