This collection of hotels with old-world charm includes four located in Niagara-on-the-Lake. The Moffat Inn is a two-story cottage hotel. If you have ever wanted to stay in a Georgian Mansion, you can try Queen's Landing. Pillar and Post was originally a canning factory, and is now a five-star country inn. Finally, the company also holds the Prince of Wales Hotel, one of the best known historic hotels in Niagara-on-the-Lake. The hotel and rooms are decorated in Victorian style, and "Travel + Leisure" voted it the best hotel in Ontario in 2009.
Some people like to stay at chain hotels that they have stayed with in the past, because there is a certain amount of familiarity with them. Also, some hotel chains have clubs or reward points that reward people that stay with the company frequently, making many customers repeat visitors. There are several chain hotels in the region, including a Hilton Garden Inn, a Days Inn and a Holiday Inn. The Days Inn features package deals that combine spa treatments or various wine tours depending on the time of year with your stay. From the Hilton Garden Inn, visitors have easy access to attractions like the Butterfly Conservatory or Fallsview Casino.
Niagara-on-the-Lake is a town built around theater, wine and other high-scale industries and, as a result, there is no shortage of luxury accommodations. The Harbour House Hotel has regular rooms that start at under $200 in the low season, as of February 2011, but also has a number of luxurious rooms and suites available, including some with riverside views. White Oaks Conference Resort & Spa is a luxury hotel focused on health and wellness with nearby golf and an on-site spa and fitness center. Finally, the Shaw Center provides guests in town for the festival with a place to stay right across the street from the theater.
