Located in northern Sacramento, the La Quinta Inn permits dogs to stay for no extra cost, as of February 2011. The hotel does not enforce a weight limit or restrict the amount of dogs per room. Hotel features include an outdoor swimming pool with adjacent whirlpool tub and a suite with sleeper sofa. The hotel is within five minutes of shops and dining options at the Watt Avenue Shopping Center. North Natomas Regional Dog Park is a 15-minute drive from the hotel; this park allows dogs to roam without a leash.
The Ramada is in the heart of Sacramento's Discovery Park, less than 10 minutes from the downtown area. This hotel allows dogs to stay for a nightly fee of $20 per dog, as of February 2011. Up to two dogs may stay in a room. No weight restriction applies. Discovery Park is home to the 32-mile Jedidiah Smith Bike Trail and boat ramps on the American River and Sacramento River. Amenities at the Ramada include an outdoor pool and free shuttle service to Sacramento International Airport. The hotel offers "Park and Fly" packages, which includes courtesy parking in the hotel's lot for two weeks.
Dogs may stay at the Sheraton Grand Sacramento hotel for a one-time nonrefundable fee of $100, as of February 2011. This fee covers any amount of dogs guests may wish to bring. The hotel does not enforce a weight limit. The hotel is a 10-minute drive from Sky's Dog Park, which allows dogs to be off-leash in certain areas. The hotel provides on-site dining at Morgan's Central Valley Bistro, a casual restaurant in an atrium setting. Hotel services include babysitting, concierge desk and valet parking. An outdoor pool is available.
