Commercial Boulevard runs east-west through the entire city of Fort Lauderdale. On its eastern edge, it loops around at the Atlantic Ocean and runs all the way west across the city until it dead ends at the Everglades National Forest. It runs both east and west and changes direction frequently. It crosses highly-trafficked roads like Interstate 95 and the Florida Turnpike. Shopping malls, numerous restaurants and other businesses, including hotels, line Commercial Boulevard.
Commercial Boulevard's intersection with North Federal Highway (Florida Highway 1) marks the eastern-most spot where hotels are located on Commercial Boulevard. The Ramada-Plaza Resorts and Courtyard by Marriott hotels are located in this area and offer easy access to nearby restaurants like Denny's, Chuck's Steakhouse and Ponte Vecchio. The Coral Ridge Country Club is located just south of these two hotels.
Just west of I-95 in Fort Lauderdale, two additional hotels are located on Commercial Boulevard. The Holiday Inn Express and Suites and the University Inn are each located just east of the Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport. They are also situated within a few blocks of Florida Atlantic University.
West of Fort Lauderdale's Executive Airport, near Embry-Riddle University, three additional hotels are located on Commercial Boulevard. Comfort Inn and Suites, La Quinta Inn and Homestead Studio Suites Fort Lauderdale are all chain hotels offering standard amenities and easy access to local restaurants and businesses. The Homestead Studio Suites offers long-term hotel options for those visiting Fort Lauderdale for a longer period of time.
