Homewood is less than 10 minutes south of W. Jones State Forest. This park is home to the Sweetleaf Nature Trail, which facilitates hiking and bird watching. Horseback riding and bicycling trails are available. W. Jones has two lakeside picnic areas, and the park is open year-round.
Families at the hotel are within 15 minutes of The Woodlands Children's Museum, located in Panther Creek Village Square mall. Children have access to interactive exhibits, including the Muse, which offers children arts and crafts activities. The museum hosts birthday parties.
The hotel is a five-minute drive from shopping and dining options at Waterway Square, a one-acre plaza with manicured gardens and fountains. During the early afternoon and evening hours, the plaza offers fountain shows, which feature colored lighting effects and music.
