Tourists come from all corners of the globe to visit the sandy shores of Florida's beaches. Shops line the beaches all along the southwestern side of the state along with restaurants offering tropical fare. Travelers will not find a shortage of things to do in the Sunshine State, including parasailing, fishing, snorkeling and lying on the beach.

    • On the white sandy beaches of southwestern Florida, tourists flock to soak up sun and relax on vacation. North Redington Beach is located southwest of Tampa.       A playground is located next door to the hotel and the beach is across the street. John's Pass fishing village is south of the hotel with a variety of restaurants including Bubba Gump Shrimp and the Hut Restaurant and Tiki Bar. Shell shops, boutiques and novelty stores line the wooden sidewalks on the waterfront.

    Sandalwood Beach Resort

    • Studios and one- and two-bedroom suites are available at the Sandalwood Beach Resort. The heated outdoor pool is in the courtyard area shielded from the wind. All the rooms have full kitchens with a microwave, refrigerator and small stove. Cable TV and movie channels as well as wireless Internet are free. Guests can pick from a Gulf or pool view from the room.

      Fishing rods can be rented at the Redington Beach Long Pier Tackle Shop, steps away from the hotel. No fishing license required. Tampa is a short distance from the resort, and Orlando is less than two hours away.
