Hotels near Campbellsburg, Kentucky

Campbellsburg, Kentucky, is a small but growing town in Henry County off Interstate 71. The town was almost totally wiped out during a tornado in 1974, and citizens have since rebuilt a downtown Main Street. Historical buildings to survive the tornado include the L&N train depot in the town center and the Sulphur Fork Primitive Baptist Church, dating back to the turn of the 19th century. Visitors for Campbellsburg Day or other town events can stay in hotels in nearby Carrollton or LaGrange.

    • General Butler State Resort includes a lodge hotel as well as individual cottages for rent. Located in the General Butler State Resort Park, the lodge is open during the summer season, while the cottages are open year-round. The cottages include one-, two- or three-bedroom options, and both the cottages and lodge are convenient to Two Rivers Restaurant, a bistro-style restaurant featuring Kentucky cooking with locally grown produce. Boating and fishing are available on Butler Lake. The resort also features a nine-hole golf course, 18-hole miniature golf course, and hiking and mountain biking trails. The resort is just 15 miles northeast of Campbellsburg in Carrollton.

    • Located 14 miles northeast of Campbellsburg, the town of Carrollton is home to several hotels. The Super 8, Best Western Executive Inn, Holiday Inn Express Carrollton and Hampton Inn are all directly off Interstate 71 at State Road 227. All are convenient to fast-food restaurants and the Mexican restaurant El Nopal, and offer easy access to Campbellsburg along I-71. The city of Carrollton also features Point Park, a public park at the confluence of the Ohio and Kentucky rivers that is home to many outdoor festivals and events.

    LaGrange Hotels

    • La Grange is located 14 miles southwest of Campbellsburg along Interstate 71. La Grange is home to four hotels off I-71 along State Road 53. Comfort Suites and Super 8 La Grange are located on the north side of I-71 at exit 22, near a wide range of fast-food restaurants and a Cracker Barrel Old Country Store. South of I-71 at exit 22 are the Holiday Inn Express and Best Western Ashbury Inn, which are near fast-food restaurants, a Waffle House, Ponderosa and Acapulco Mexican Cuisine.

    Colonial Hill Inn

    • Located eight miles south of Campbellsburg along U.S. 421 in New Castle is the Colonial Hill Inn, a bed and breakfast in a Greek Revival home featuring lush gardens. The inn is near the Smith-Berry Vineyard and Winery, a working winery and farm. New Castle is the seat of Henry County and has been certified as a "Preserve America" community by the Preserve America initiative. The town features a restored courthouse clock dating back to 1877, as well as a historic preservation district and history center.
