The beautiful Gaylord Opryland Resort is a vacation within itself. Taking its name from the fish-filled waters of Caney Fork River in Tennessee, Caney Fork Fish Camp is a high-concept casual restaurant located just two minutes away from the Gaylord Opryland by car. Specialties include fried catfish, baby back ribs, meatloaf, salmon, hand-cut steaks, seafood pot pie and corn fritters. A buffet service option or all-inclusive group rate is also available. The dining room itself is a sight to see, complete with a 3,100-gallon stocked pond and waterfall along with vintage photos, lures and antiques. Rooms are available for private events, and Caney Fork Fish Camp features a full-service bar and electronic gaming.

Sukho Thai is one of the few Nashville restaurants serving authentic Thai cuisine, and it is a three-minute drive from the resort. The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner, serving a wide variety of rice, curry, chicken, pork, beef, seafood, vegetable, noodle and tofu dishes. Wine, sake and beer are also available. Sukho Thai accepts take-out orders for pick-up only. Reservations are not required but they are welcome, especially for parties of six or more. The restaurant is closed on Sundays and major holidays.

The casual, rustic atmosphere of Cock of the Walk Restaurant, along with its fully costumed waiters, is meant to bring guests back to the time of the old riverboat days. Old-fashioned southern fare is the focal point of the restaurant's menu. Items include fried or broiled chicken and catfish, fried shrimp and steak served alongside hushpuppies, coleslaw, skillet bread, fried dill pickles or onion rings. A group rate menu is also available for larger parties. Reservations are accepted only for groups of 20 or more. Cock of the Walk is just a five-minute drive from Gaylord Opryland.

Nashville Palace is a large bar/restaurant/concert hall that features live music, dancing, food and drinks, making it great for a complete night out. The restaurant, which is just two minutes away from Gaylord Opryland, claims to be "the place where the stars hang out." Food offerings include ribs, catfish, pork chops, steak, chicken, sandwiches and salads. Nashville Palace, rich in country music history since its opening in 1974 (even though it has been relocated from its original facility), also features a gift shop full of souvenirs. The venue accommodates private parties and events.
