The village of Marblehead, Ohio, sits on the coast of Lake Erie. The 2 ½-square-mile town is home to 1,000 residents, but is often filled with tourists visiting for fishing, boating and winter activities. Taylor's Resort is split into motel and cottage accommodations. The five-room motel has double rooms and community amenities, such an outdoor swimming pool, sun deck and recreation room with games. The property also has eight cottages. Each cottage can sleep up to six people and include a double bed, two twin beds and a living room futon. The cottages come equipped with kitchens, as well as screened-in porches. Cottages also sit near a private beach. Taylor's Resort is at the southern end of the peninsula. It is a six-minute drive to the Marblehead Lighthouse and a 16-minute drive to the African Safari Wildlife Park.
Kaspar's Lake Breeze Cabins offers two-bedroom accommodations at the edge of the Lakeside Daisy State Nature Park Preserve. The cabins come with double beds, with the option of extra rollaway beds, and each cabin is fully furnished and equipped with kitchenettes. Guests must bring linens. In the summer and winter, the cabins may only be rented on a weekly basis -- nightly rentals are available in spring and fall. Kaspar's Lake Breeze Cabins is 3/4 miles from the Marblehead Lighthouse and close to island ferry stations.
The Lighthouse Resort has four room options ranging from a standard room to an executive suite. At the upper range, guests stay in a four-room suite with a full kitchen, fireplace and whirlpool tub.
