Cookeville is a medium-sized city in middle Tennessee, between Knoxville and Nashville. It is on the Cumberland Plateau, the so-called "Tennessee Highlands." The city has a lot of historic sites related to the railroads. It is near Edgar Evins State Park and Lake, as well as several other parks and outdoor venues. There are many hotels to choose from, a lot of them along South Jefferson Avenue, which leads from downtown to Interstate 40.

This hotel has a restaurant on the premises, and a free breakfast is served every morning. The hotel has 76 rooms on two floors, and there is an elevator. Pets are allowed for a fee. This Best Western is between El Tapatio and Shoneys and less than a block from the King Buffet.
The Key West Inn chain tries to keep a Key West feel to its properties in the southeast. The outside has a Victorian style with pastel colors, and the theme is carried to the inside as well. The Key West Inn in Cookeville has 42 rooms. The hotel is about a mile off Interstate 40 and close to downtown. A free breakfast is offered and pets are allowed. You will find chain restaurants as you go toward downtown. Also in the area is the Rib House of Cookeville and the Jackson Street Grill, which are local favorites.
