Hotels in Waipahu, Hawaii

Waipahu is a town in the southern area of the Hawaiian island, Oahu. Waipahu is home the Hawaiian Plantation Village, an outdoor museum that illustrates Waipahu's history as a sugar plantation town. Although Waipahu is around 15 miles from the main tourist area of Waikiki, the town is close to the airport and Pearl Harbor. While there are no hotels in Waipahu itself, several are within just a few miles.

    • The Harbor Arms Apartment Hotel is three miles east of Waipahu and offers a choice of one- or two-bedroom suites with full or partial kitchens and private decks. The hotel is a military TLA (Temporary Lodging Allowance) approved hotel and is popular with military families transitioning to the island. Hotel facilities include an outdoor swimming pool with sun deck and is a 10-minute walk from Pearlridge Mall, the largest indoor mall in the state.

    OHANA Honolulu Airport Hotel

    • The OHANA Honolulu Airport Hotel is five miles southeast of Waipahu and a half-mile from Honolulu International Airport, which is accessible via the hotel's complimentary 24-hour shuttle bus. The hotel has a fitness center and outdoor swimming pool, and accepts pets for an additional fee. The on-site Willoughby's Restaurant serves breakfast and dinner, and guests can pick up snacks at the on-site grocery store.

    Best Western The Plaza Hotel

    • The Best Western The Plaza Hotel is half a mile from Honolulu International Airport and five miles southeast of Waipahu. Nearby attractions include the USS Memorial, which is three miles away. The hotel operates a complimentary shuttle service to and from the airport and has an outdoor swimming pool. Pets are welcome to stay for a nightly fee. The hotel's American-style Plaza Cafe serves breakfast and dinner, and a seafood buffet on Friday and Saturday evenings. Nearby restaurants include Ninja Sushi, which is just across the road.

    J.W. Marriott Ihilani Resort and Spa

    • The Ihilani Resort is 10 miles west of Waipahu and enjoys a quiet setting on a private beach cove between the Pacific Ocean and four man-made lagoons. Most of the resort's 387 rooms and 36 suites have views of the ocean or lagoons, and all feature beds with 300-thread-count sheets and marble bathrooms with twin vanities. Leisure facilities include an outdoor swimming pool and hot tub, fitness center, tennis courts and discounted access to the Ted Robinson-designed 18-hole Ko'olina Golf course. Guests can also snorkel in the fish-filled lagoons. The resort spa offers a range of massage and facial services. Five dining venues are on the property, including the Japanese restaurant Ushio-Tei.
