Blackhawk Express is a Bloomer, Wisconsin-based bus company that specializes in transporting students (including those of Chippewa Valley Technical College, Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College, and the University of Wisconsin), and sports teams, including the Eau Claire Cavaliers and the Chippewa Valley Predators. In 2010, Blackhawk Express merged with Kobussen Buses Ltd., an older, larger bus company that provides charter services to Wisconsin's major-league sporting events. Blackhawk Express does not do tours of its own, but since 1991, the company has been the main carrier for Home Spun Tours of Rice Lake, Wisconsin. Home Spun offers a wide variety of trips throughout northwestern, southern and central Wisconsin, as well as northeastern Minnesota.
Home Spun offers round-trip transportation to the Clauson Family Christmas Music Show at the family's 120-year-old barn--now the Barn Theatre--in Coloma, Wisconsin. Pick-up locations are Barron, Rice Lake, Cameron, Chetek, New Auburn, and Bloomer. The ticket price covers transportation, lunch, the play, and Christmas lights.
