Disney Cruises have four different ports of call: Port Canaveral, Florida; Los Angeles, California; Vancouver, Canada; and Barcelona, Spain. Port Canaveral is near Disney World, and packages are available that include a stay at the park and transportation to and from the airport and cruise terminal. In some cases, Disney has partnered with hotels in the area (a list can be found on the Disney Cruise Line website). Four-star, or AAA-rated four-diamond hotels can be found in all port areas.
Cruises from Port Canaveral include trips to the Bahamas, through the Caribbean, to Disney's Castaway Cay, trans-Atlantic trips and journeys through the Panama Canal. Tourists departing from Port Canaveral have the option to stay at a Disney World resort prior to their cruise. Many of the Disney resorts are AAA Four-Diamond rated, including the Grand Floridian and the Disney Polynesian Resort. Ground transfers between Disney resorts, the cruise and the airport are available for an additional fee.
The Disney resort hotels are around 50 miles from Port Canaveral. The Port D' Hiver Bed and Breakfast is the closest AAA Four-Diamond hotel to the port, and is 26 miles south in Melbourne Beach. This hotel has 11 rooms and suites and an on-site spa. Numerous add-ons are available, including spa treatments, fresh flowers and champagne.

Most of the Disney cruises that leave Los Angeles travel down the Mexican Riviera, although some other cruise destinations are Vancouver and Alaska. There are three hotels in Disneyland in Anaheim, approximately 30 miles away from the cruise port in San Pedro. Of the three Disneyland hotels, the Grand Californian Hotel & Spa is the only AAA Four-Diamond rated property.
The closest four-star hotel to the port is the Hotel Maya in Long Beach, California. This hotel is approximately four miles from the Disney Cruise terminal and is on the waterfront. The property's 199 rooms all have wireless Internet, private balconies and iPod docking stations. The on-site restaurant, Fuego, serves Mexican and Latin American cuisines. Town car and limousine transportation are available through the hotel for an extra fee.

Disney cruises to Alaska will kick off in mid-2011. While there are no Disney parks near Vancouver, the company recommends the AAA Four-Diamond rated Fairmont Waterfront Hotel, which is directly across the street from the Disney cruise terminal. This hotel has 489 rooms and suites, 300 of which have views of the harbor. The Hotel's Herons Restaurant and Lounge has its own herb garden and bee colony. The hotel property is also home to a shopping area with gift shops, a beauty salon, newsstand and a Starbucks.

Barcelona is where Mediterranean cruises depart and transatlantic cruises terminate. There are no Disney Parks near Vancouver. Disney has partnered with four hotels in Barcelona; however, all of them are near the city center, more than 10 miles from the cruise terminal. The closest four-star property to the terminal is Hotel Porta Fira which is a five-mile drive from the cruise terminal. The hotel has 320 rooms and suites, all with wireless Internet access, satellite television and air-conditioning. The on-site restaurant is open for three meals a day and provides room service. Additionally, the hotel has a spa and wellness center.
