Sepilok is the name of a virgin rainforest preserve located in Malaysian Borneo. The forest also lends its name to the Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre, which is located on the borders of the forest. The Sepilok Jungle Resort was established in 1971, when it began as a small lodge on the rainforest's border. Formerly known as the Labuk Bed & Breakfast, Sepilok Forest Edge Resort has recently moved and expanded. It is now located a 10-minute walk away from the Orangutan Rehabilitation Center. The resort's accommodations are arranged like a farm, with the Labuk Bed & Breakfast, several separate chalets, and another building called the Long House located on 20 acres of land. Dormitories are available in addition to rooms.
