• The Four Points in Ann Arbor is part of the Starwood Hotels conglomerate. It has received the AAA Three Diamond Award and is conveniently located near the Detroit airport. The Jacuzzi rooms include a king-size bed and all standard amenities. All rooms are nonsmoking and wireless Internet is available. The hotel features an indoor heated pool, an outdoor pool, sauna, fitness facilities and a whirlpool. For golf enthusiasts, the hotel is located close to the Lakeforest Golf Club, Eastern Michigan University Championship Golf Course and University of Michigan Golf Course. It is also near the Mt. Brighton Ski Lodge for winter travelers. There are two American cuisine restaurants in the hotel: Michael's Chophouse and the State Street Bar & Grill. Before booking, check the web site for various deals. In September 2010 some examples of the deals included 10 percent off when booking 14 days in advance or 10 percent off when staying during the Fall season. The Copper Inn

• The Copper Inn is located in Harrisville right off US 23 on Lake Huron. Its open seasonally during Summer and Fall. As of September 2010, suites range from $125 to -$175 per night or $800 to $1,000 per week. All suites include a two-person Jacuzzi tub and a deck overlooking the lake or woods. It's a nonsmoking facility with a two-day minimum stay required. There is a one-night deposit required with your reservation and the full sum is due 30 days before your arrival. The Copper Inn owns its own section of the sugar sand beach at the lake, which is perfect for sunbathing during the summer months. Golfing, boating and fishing are the most popular local activities and are easily accessible to guests of the hotel.

Holiday Inn Southgate

• The Holiday Inn of Southgate is located in the downriver Detroit area approximately 15 minutes from the Detroit airport. Of the 160 rooms available, there are five guest rooms with Jacuzzi tubs and one suite. As of September 2010, the hotel offeres two package deals with local attractions. One includes deluxe accommodations with breakfast for two at Charlie's Chophouse. The other is the Henry Ford package. After sleeping in deluxe accommodations, two guests receive two tickets to the Henry Ford museum or Greenfield Village and $10 in Henry Ford "fun money." All guests can enjoy the dining options. Charlie's Chophouse serves three meals a day and Club Charlie's is a lounge with live entertainment on Fridays and Saturdays.
