Greektown is on the western side of the downtown Chicago Loop, and features vibrant nightlife with bars, restaurants and clubs. The neighborhood was once home to a large Greek population but has since become a commercial district. Although there are no hotels in Greektown, tourists can find accommodations within five minutes of the area. Greektown is accessible from Chicago's transit system, which offers a stop at the UIC-Halsted Station on the campus of the University of Illinois-Chicago.
