• The Fairmont Hotel in Chicago is a little less than a mile from both North and South Water Street. It prides itself on being a hotel that works under the umbrella of corporate responsibility both environmentally and by its impact on local communities through projects and financial donations to organizations. There are guest rooms, suites and the elite Fairmont Gold Lounge. Gold guests stay on the 14th through 17th floors and enjoy extended amenities as well as use of the Gold Lounge on the 15th floor. The Fairmont's Aria restaurant was called "One of Chicago's Best New Restaurants" in 2003 by Chicago Magazine. Aria is primarily an Asian sushi restaurant and bar but is open for three meals a day. • The Swissotel is located less than a mile from both North and South Water Street. It offers a wide range of accommodations including basic guest rooms, kid-friendly rooms, special views, corner suites and presidential suites. The Swissotel offers package deals throughout the year. There are both rooms and suites with standard amenities for both. The hotel is pet friendly and also provides business, concierge and spa services. For business travelers or anyone with a large group, Hard Rock provides large meeting and event spaces ranging from ballrooms to more intimate spaces geared toward 300 people.
