The hotel is a block away from Bourbon Street, so it is a close walk for those in town for Mardi Gras and want to be near a lot of action. The Jazz and Heritage Festival is also nearby. Maison Dupuy's first-class lodging offers a heated swimming pool as well as jacuzzi hot tub in its tropical courtyard. Maison Dupuy is in the French Quarter, and claims it "may typify French Quarter eclectic grandeur." The building's historical significance is that it housed the nation's first cotton press and later served as various sheet metal companies. Rooms range from King Standard to the VIP, and a standalone house called the Carriage House. Prices range from $179 to $549. The menu at Le Meritage changes seasonally at the chef's discretion. Maison Dupuy is also a close drive from Interstate 10 and the Louisiana Superdome, and is within walking distance of Louis Armstrong Park.
