Hotels With Hot Tubs & Fireplaces In Portland

Portland, Ore., has a marine West Coast climate, with moderate temperatures and lots of cool, cloudy and rainy days. For tourists visiting Portland, there are a handful of hotels that provide a haven from the drizzle with hot tubs and fireplaces in featured guest rooms to warm chilly bodies or perhaps set the stage for a night of romance.

  1. RiverPlace Hotel

    • The RiverPlace Hotel is located on the Portland riverfront next to the Willamette River, a few blocks from downtown. The Three Degrees Waterfront Bar and Grill is on site, and serves breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as room service to guests of the hotel. In 2004, RiverPlace underwent a $3.5 million renovation and now boasts flat-screen LCD televisions in every room and free wireless Internet access throughout the establishment. The Oregonian newspaper reports that "This Portland favorite...somehow manages to feel serene even though it's a hop to the vibrant waterfront and summer-festival scene."

RiverPlace's Fireplace Suites have 650 square feet of room split into a bedroom and separate living room with a wood-burning fireplace. Bathrooms in these suites have jetted tubs, along with rain shower heads. Each Fireplace Suite comes with a view--either of downtown Portland, Tom McCall Waterfront Park or the Willamette River. Fireplace suites run $419 a night.
