      The all-inclusive resort is small, holding only 30 guests in 15 rooms at any given time. According to the resort's website, this is to maintain a maximum of 8-12 divers on a boat, as well as to provide personal service and flexible scheduling.

      What's included at the resort depends on the type of all-inclusive package you book. For beach vacationers, the hotel offers three full meals daily, unlimited snorkeling, a welcome cocktail and organized beach parties.     • Frommer's travel guide calls Hotel Palma Real the only "true" beach resort on La Ceiba's Caribbean coastline. The resort features 160 rooms and suites, as well as a disco open for nightly dancing, the Hola Ola Theater offering entertainment and Cana Brava Restaurant, a buffet where guests can eat their meals that are part of the all-inclusive price.

      The resort also boasts what they call a "water jungle," which features a lazy river, a wave pool and water slides. The hotel also houses a large swimming pool that, according to Frommer's, stretches nearly the entire length of the resort.

    Deep Blue Utila

    • The smallest of Honduras' islands, Utila is also known for its snorkeling and diving, but features less-expensive dive certifications, restaurants and accommodations than its island neighbor Roatan.

      The beachfront resort Deep Blue Utila can only be reached by boat and only houses 20 guests at a time. Though nondivers are welcome though the resort caters specifically to those itching to scuba dive. The all-inclusive package offer three boat dives per day, two night boat dives, unlimited shore diving and free snorkeling, as well as an oceanfront room and three meals per day.

      The resort is home to a clubhouse, where guests can entertainment themselves when on land. The clubhouse a full-service bar, complimentary Internet access, pool, darts, a small library and board games.
