According to Family Travel Forum's 2009 reports, there is a rising trend of forward-thinking hotels catering to the needs of young travelers. More and more family hotels and resorts are investing in kid-friendly amenities, such as children's programs, cartoon-themed suites, kid's menus and even child spas. A hotel's ability to reach out to a younger audience keeps youngsters entertained and removes the burden from strained parents.
Nickelodeon Suites Resort in Orlando, Florida is a kid-friendly vacation resort that offers children a chance to play and explore with a list of Nickelodeon characters in a brightly-colored and spacious hotel. There are free live shows and entertainment at the hotels, including Studio Nick, which is accompanied by a cast of improv performers. Interactive shows include karaoke, family improv and Spongebob's Krabby Patty celebration. Families can dine in Nickelodeon Cafe, where they are entertained by an improv group. Families can view 4-D movies in a 77-seat, state-of-the-art slime-filled theater. Kids can get pampered at the Kid's Spa, visit the resort's two water parks, or explore Orlando with a complementary shuttle service.
