The Hallmark Inns and Resorts are a family-owned company with two resorts in Oregon, one in Cannon Beach and the other in Newport. The resort website says Hallmark prides itself on its friendly atmosphere and tries to ensure that guests receive excellent customer service. Newport is on the coast south of Lincoln City.
The resort has 158 rooms and suites and are all non-smoking. The traditional rooms in the hotel have a queen-size bed with television and DVD player. Guests can enjoy the view of the Pacific Ocean from private balconies. The rooms are en suite and have bath products provided by the hotel. The restaurant in the resort is called Georgie's Grill. It has views of the ocean and serves Northwest coast cuisine. The restaurant specializes in seafood dishes including the well-known Yaquina Bay oysters. The breakfast menu ranges from traditional bacon and eggs to the restaurant's "Coastal Stuffer," which is different seafood ingredients with mushrooms, potatoes and tomato cooked in a sourdough bread. The restaurant has a wide-ranging children's menu, and children also get to pick a prize from the restaurant's treasure chest.
The resort has an indoor recreation center with an indoor swimming pool, sauna and fitness center. The hotel provides a play area for children as well as a volleyball court. The business center has high-speed Internet access as well as a FAX and photocopying machine and has printers and scanners available for guests. The hotel allows pets and has designated rooms on the ground floor for easy access to the grass area especially set aside for guests dogs. The resort also has a gift shop.
