Spring Grove is a cemetery and arboretum located at 4521 Spring Grove Avenue, in Cincinnati, Ohio. The cemetery, serving the Cincinnati community since 1845, is the second largest cemetery in the United States, according to the Spring Grove website. It is also where more than 50 Civil War generals and politicians were laid to rest.
Spring Grove was originally a 177-acre dairy farm. Adolph Stauch and the Cincinnati Men's Horticulture Society designed its grounds around the area's hills and valleys, incorporating lakes, island, footbridges, woodland areas, and trees and vegetation from around the world.
