About the MGM Grand

The MGM Grand Hotel and Casino is one of the largest hotels in the world and offers everything you'd expect in a Las Vegas hotel. It features a casino, multiple fine-dining restaurants, bars, clubs, pools, entertainment venues, stores, wedding chapels, a spa and a range of accommodations in the MGM Grand and the separate resort area named the Signature at MGM Grand. The hotel's location at Las Vegas Boulevard and Tropicana also provides an ideal location to explore the south end of the Las Vegas strip.

  1. Guest Rooms and Suites

    • Accommodations at the MGM Grand include deluxe king and queen rooms with marble bathrooms, televisions, sitting areas and Internet access. In the West Wing, rooms also include flat screen TVs, a DVD player, Internet access and king beds.

The hotel also offers seven types of suites with similar amenities, but there are larger rooms, including some with extra bedrooms, bathrooms and additional perks, such as a bar, panoramic views of Las Vegas and outdoor patios. The two-story Skylofts feature personal 24-hour butlers and concierges, floor-to-ceiling windows looking over the Las Vegas Strip and steam rooms. Finally, the three towers at the Signature at MGM Grand feature only suites with marble/granite bathrooms, king beds, spa tubs, entertainment centers and balconies in most suites.

    Hotel Amenities

    • Guests of the MGM Grand can take advantage of the hotel's many amenities, including shopping, swimming pools (including a lazy river), a salon and the hotel spa. The Starlane Mall, Studio Walk and other separate stores feature designer names like Armani and Cartier, but there are also stores for clothing, souvenirs and gifts. The Grand Pool complex has 5 swimming pools, 3 whirlpools, a lazy river and cabanas; it's open from February to November. Note that not all pools will be open during this time, but at least one pool is available every day of the week. The health club is open seven days a week, and it features a gym and spa services, such as massages, body treatments and beauty services.

    Casino

    • The MGM Grand Casino offers plenty of activity for guests and visitors, including thousands of slot machines. Table games like blackjack, poker and craps are also at the casino. Sports betting can be found at the Race & Sports Book, an area capable of showing more than 30 channels of national and international sporting events at one time.

Poker tournaments are also available during both the day and evening in the MGM Grand Poker Room. Open 24 hours per day, the poker room features table side massage services, food and drinks, and a number of poker games. Membership to the hotel's Player's Club is free and can be used at 11 other hotels and casinos, including Luxor, the Bellagio and Mandalay Bay.

    Dining

    • The MGM Grand is home to 15 restaurants, including fine dining and casual restaurants. There are also cafes and shops for quick meals on the go. Award-winning French chef Joël Robuchon opened his first American restaurant at the hotel and has since earned the first and only three Michelin stars of any restaurant in Las Vegas. He also opened a second restaurant at the MGM Grand, L'atelier De Joel Robuchon, where meals are prepared in front of diners. Other fine dining restaurants include Fiamma Trattoria and Bar, Wolfgang Puck Bar and Grill, and Nobhill Tavern from chef Michael Mina. Guests looking for more casual dining can enjoy Emeril Lagasse's restaurant or 24-hour in-room dining services. Buffets, sandwich shops and Starbucks are also available at the hotel for quick bites.

    Entertainment

    • As of June 2010, the MGM Grand plays host to the Cirque du Soleil show "KA," a topless adult entertainment show called "Crazy Horse Paris" and the Lion Habitat, which is opened daily for no charge. Performances from acts like David Copperfield and Tom Jones can be seen at the Hollywood Theater, while the 16,800-capacity MGM Grand Garden Arena hosts sporting events and world famous bands in concert, including the Rolling Stones and U2.

    Nightlife

    • Though not technically nightlife, the daytime parties from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. at Wet Republic Ultra Pool have loud music, celebrity guests, VIP Bungalows, party cabanas, food and drink services, and plenty of young party goers for those interested in a twist on the Las Vegas' club scene. Other options for drinking and nightlife include the 24-hour Zuri Bar, casual West Wing, Centrifuge, and Rouge bars, the more upscale Tabu Ultra Lounge, the club Studio 54, and the Latin dance party Vida! at the restaurant Diego.
