Walland is an unincorporated community located in Blount County, Tennessee, near the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Figuring out the exact population of Walland is difficult since according to the 2000 Census, Walland isn't actually a town but a zip-code-designated "area." However, Walland enjoys a healthy tourism industry and cabin-rental options in the area are numerous.
The Misty River Cabins and RV Resort offers multiple creek-side log cabins that are right there just off the banks of the Misty River. The Tennessee Association of RV Parks and Campgrounds named Misty River Cabins the Tennessee "Campground of the Year" in 2009. There are four cabins available for rent, all of which sit just off the Misty River. Linens, garbage bags, towels, paper towels and toilet paper are provided. Amenities vary from cabin to cabin, with more modern amenities offered in some and more rustic layouts in others.
