Capital of Florida: Where Is Everglades National Park Located?

Everglades National Park is located in the state of Florida. The state capital is Tallahassee, situated in the Florida Panhandle—about 300 miles northwest of the park's main entrance near Homestead.

The park protects 1.5 million acres of subtropical wetlands, the largest tropical wilderness in the U.S. and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. While Tallahassee is the political capital, the gateway cities for Everglades visitors are typically Miami, Homestead, Florida City, and Everglades City.
