Universal's Islands of Adventure is a theme park at Universal Orlando Resort in Orlando, Florida. The park opened on May 28, 1999, and is the second theme park built at the resort, after Universal Studios Florida. Islands of Adventure is themed after iconic settings and characters from Universal Pictures and other properties, and is divided into seven themed areas, or "islands":

1. The Wizarding World of Harry Potter - Hogsmeade

This area is based on the Harry Potter series of books and films, and features attractions and experiences such as the Hogwarts Castle and Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey.

2. Jurassic Park

This area is based on the Jurassic Park film franchise, and features attractions and experiences such as the Jurassic Park River Adventure and the Velociraptor Encounter.

3. Seuss Landing

This area is based on the Dr. Seuss children's books, and features attractions and experiences such as The Cat in the Hat and the One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish rides.

4. Toon Lagoon

This area is based on classic cartoons and comic strips, and features attractions and experiences such as the Popeye & Bluto's Bilge-Rat Barges and the Dudley Do-Right's Ripsaw Falls.

5. Marvel Super Hero Island

This area is based on Marvel Comics characters, and features attractions and experiences such as The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man, The Incredible Hulk Coaster, and Storm Force Accelatron.

In addition to these five main islands, Universal's Islands of Adventure also features a sixth area called Port of Entry, which serves as the main entrance to the park and is home to shops and restaurants.
