Is the Mongolian language related to Chinese language?

The Mongolian language and the Chinese language are not related. Mongolian is a member of the Mongolic language family, while Chinese is a member of the Sino-Tibetan language family. There are some superficial similarities between the two languages, such as the use of tones, but these are due to chance rather than any genetic relationship.
