Do people in China use Pinyin?

Pinyin is the official romanization system for Mandarin Chinese. It is widely used in China for teaching Standard Mandarin, and is the most common romanization system used internationally for Mandarin. It is used to annotate Chinese characters, and is also used as the input method for Chinese characters on computers and mobile devices. While Pinyin is the most widely used system for romanization of Mandarin, it is not the only system used in China.
