Can you deny notarization because of expired Oregon driver license?

In the U.S. state of Oregon, a notary public is authorized to deny notarization if the person requesting notarization does not provide satisfactory evidence of their identity. An Oregon driver license is an acceptable form of identification for notarization purposes, but only if it is current (not expired).

Furthermore, the Oregon Secretary of State recommends obtaining additional forms of identification if the driver's license presented for notarization appears altered, modified, or invalid.
