Visit the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) website in the Resource section. The TSA oversees guidelines for every airline about what a passenger can and cannot bring aboard. In general, you can bring a liquid in a container of 3.4 oz. or smaller. Breast-milk, formula and medications can be in larger containers.
Visit the website of the specific airline you will be flying. Check their travel tips or safety page to see if the airline has any additional regulations above the federal regulations outlined by the TSA.
Call the airline directly. Describe what kind of liquid you want to bring and ask exactly how much you will be allowed to carry on board. If they won't let you carry it on, ask how much you can stow in your checked luggage.
