What is the value of a 1996 Eire 50 Pence coin?

The 1996 Eire 50 Pence coin is not a valid currency item. The Republic of Ireland, or Eire, which the island nation is sometimes referred to as in some languages, does not mint or use pence as money. Instead, they have Euros as their sole national currency. There have been 50 Euro cent coins minted in Europe, but Ireland, or Eire, has only minted Euros after adopting these as their national currency in January of 2002.
