How long does it take to be a Norway citizen?

- Periods of asylum, temporary stay, and student visas do not generally count toward the residency requirement.

- Applicants must also pass the Norwegian language test (Bergenstest).

- Exceptions may be granted for individuals who have made significant contributions to Norwegian society or who have close ties to Norwegian citizens.
