The hotel is conveniently located for travelers utilizing Bob Hope Airport, which is just three miles from the accommodation. A number of cafes, bars and restaurants surround the Tangerine Hotel, with a Sushi bar, Starbucks, Vons restaurant, Mo's restaurant and Sardo's bar all within a two-minute walk. There is no shuttle service between the hotel and Universal Studios, but it is a walkable distance away.
Guest rooms at the Carlton Motor Lodge are available from $75 per night, as of October 2010. Located in Studio City, the lodge is just over a mile to the west of Universal Studios. The motel's website claims the lodge has the "tallest motel sign in Southern California." Although there is no restaurant at the Carlton Motor Lodge, the hotel is well placed for access to a range of bars, clubs, cafes and restaurants. A number of walking distance restaurants include Firefly, Katsu-Ya, Midori Sushi and Dupar's, while the Laurel Tavern and Aura nightclub are within a mile of the motel. The Carlton Motor Lodge does not allow pets.
